DOC - Medical Library

Naming and Coding

Patient's medical library, like all other files within the patient’s folder, is also a markdown note with the code name libXYZ.library, where XYZ represents the patient’s numerical identifier. For example, lib100.library corresponds to the patient NIKOLAOS_PAPADOPOULOS_6945678901.

To display this open file in the Obsidian File Explorer (left-hand panel), click on the šŸ“„ icon located at the top right, next to its title (see Fig. 1). There is also a pages icon which, when clicked, opens the patient folder’s file in the Windows File Explorer.

Medical library description

Patient’s Medical Library is essentially a catalogue of all the medical documents created within the patient’s folder, which are linked to the patient’s clinical cases (Fig. 1). At the top, beneath the banner, the patient’s full name, age, and date of birth are displayed. Immediately below, there is an internal link that allows access to the patient’s record summary.

Fig. 1: The medical record of patient _pat100.patient_ contains four medical documents, sorted first by clinical case and then by sequential number (S/N) of visits. Documents 1, 2, and 4 are linked to the first clinical case, while document 3 belongs to the second clinical case. In the left-hand panel, the patient’s folder _Patient/100_ is displayed, together with the open file _lib100.library_.
